I`m not sure about which is more interesting, but I do think that the way the film portrays Hrothgar is more appealing to viewers. Sadly, I think a portrayal of the honorable leader would bore the yotuh of this generation, which are(were) the target audience of this film. I think the filmmaker portrayed Hrothgar as a horny drunk because he(?) thought would capture the target audiences attention more.
